Frequently Asked Questions

Getting to Ocean Springs

  • Our recommendation:

Fly into Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)
Take the Amtrak Mardi Gras service from New Orleans to Biloxi
Most accomodations will be only 10-20 minutes from the train station by Uber!

You can also fly into MSY or the Jackson airport and drive 3-4 hours from there… but doesn’t that seem less fun?

  • We don’t have specific rooms blocked for our guests, but we hope you’ll find these linked accommodations in the local area as charming as we do:

You’ll also find many appealing options on Airbnb, and Margaritaville Biloxi directly across the water. (RIP Jimmy!)

  • Ocean Springs is very walkable! You’ll also find the best of the best attractions a 10 minute Uber or Lyft away, and plenty of Golf Carts around to take you further than that if needed.

  • Gulf water is for floating more than swimming, so here are some packing suggestions if you plan on taking a dip at any point during your stay:

    • Swimsuit

    • Floaties

    • Beach blanket

    • Sandals

Plus some recommendations if you plan on hitting New Orleans before or after the wedding:

    • Walking shoes

    • A good book for the train

    • Cash for the light rail

    • A tote for thrift finds

Oh, and something to play basketball in, if that’s your thing.

  • Yes! All the fun will be under one roof.

  • There is limited street parking in the area. We strongly recommend that you utilize rideshare services in the area such as Uber or Lyft, or explore public transportation. (Perhaps a local golf cart rental?)

  • Yes, for your eyes only! Walter Anderson was an outstanding local artist that shaped the visual language of Mississippi and the South-Eastern US, and we encourage you to enjoy his work while you’re in the space.

  • We will be working off of one prepared menu with limited vegetarian options. If you have additional dietary concerns, please reach out to us and we can try to help troubleshoot something for your party!

The Festivities

  • Wear something you can dance, eat, and play in! Mississippi in April can be anywhere from 70-90 degrees, so watch the weather to make sure you don’t sweat through your suit.

Anything that motivates you to cut a rug is fine by us, but here’s a moodboard to help narrow down your options in the fitting room!

  • Yes! We’ll be hosting a beach bonfire on Friday April 24th, and a casual breakfast for attendees on Sunday April 26th. These are meant as a thank you for loved ones traveling from out of town, and are not required as a part of the celebration.

Check out the Agenda page for detailed information about the full weekend!

  • It’s an open bar, friend! But don’t forget to tip your lovely bartenders, and keep an ID on you if you’re aiming to hit the town with us after the event.

  • All the usual stuff! In May 2025, we went into a room in Portland, Maine and signed a piece of paper. This April: we’re doing a ceremony, we’re doing a reception, and you’re invited!
